Data Extraction

Introduction
The Tolven platform provides a mechanism for clinical and administrative data to be extracted from the data repository for the purpose of analysis by third party tools (e.g., Excel, Pentaho, Business Objects etc.,).
Data Extraction Options
Data can be extracted from Tolven as either:
- CSV
- XML
- Creation of SQL Table
Data Extraction Process
Access the Tolven application preferences section and select "Customize Menus".
In the customize menus section, select the data that is required to be extracted (e.g., Allergies, Diagnosis, Problmes etc.,) and from within this section select the "Extract Data" option .
Once selected, the "Extract Data" option expand to provide a list of attributes that can be selected for extraction and the format of the data to be extracted (e.g., CSV, XML, SQL). Once the method of extracting data is selecting the process of data extraction is initiated.
