Calendar

This section of the end user guide will explain how to add events into the calendar and change the calendar views. The calendar capabilities of the Tolven applications enable events for a specific patient to be added and displayed in a traditional day, week and month calendar view. Events can be added to the calendar using the “Personal Event” wizard, and they will also appear in appropriate Portal and bar of the Timeline.

The information that appears in the calendar can be configured by the system administrator to include all, pending or confirmed events.

Accessing the Calendar

The calendar view is accessed from the function option “Calendar,” which is displayed when reviewing a patient’s “Overview.” Select the “Calendar” function option and the Calendar will be automatically displayed.

Adding Events

To add a new event to the Patient Calendar, either select “New” from the Calendar view below the month view or from the list of “Personal Events” accessed from the portal or the function option. Personal events are added using the “Personal Event” wizard, and will appear in both the Personal Event portal, the Time-line and the calendar.

Other events such as medication administration, procedures and events associated with a treatment plan can be configured by the system administrator to appear in the calendar.

Calendar Views

The patient’s calendar can be viewed in either a day, week or month view. The calendar view can be changed by using the dropdown menu.

Navigation

There are a number of ways to navigate to a specific date in the calendar. The arrows on either side of the date can be used to move forward or backward in increments that are the same as the view selected (e.g., day, week or month). Dates can be selected directly from the month calendar view displayed to the left of the calendar display.

Viewing or Modifying Events

To view the detail of a specific event in the calendar, click on the item to open a drilldown “bubble” that displays more information about the event. The drill-down “bubble” provides a direct link to the event and displays the allowable state transitions for the event.
